Computing | Download & Activate FirstClass

Antioch University Seattle uses FirstClass, an internal intranet system, to communicate information and dialogue among students, faculty, staff and administration. Click to log in.

All students and employees have e-mail accounts and can contact one another using the e-mail directory. You also can exchange e-mail with anyone outside the university.

Within FirstClass conferencing areas, you find official announcements, updates on program activities and a variety of information sharing. Academic programs use conferencing in several ways. Program staff can provide details.

FirstClass training for students is offered each quarter. Contact staff in your academic program for times.

Note: You need an Internet connection to connect to FirstClass.

Activating Your Account

 

For assistance at any point in the installation, please contact the Help Desk at 1-866-662-0056, http://helpdesk.antioch.edu or helpdesk@antioch.edu.

Include your name, campus, an alternative e-mail or a phone number where you can be reached.
  1. Using a web browser, connect to http://mail.antiochseattle.edu/cgi-bin/activate.cgi
  2. When prompted, input your user ID, which is your student/Datatel identification number. You can get this number from your student ID card, any faculty or program staff. You can get this number from your student ID card, any faculty, or program staff. Your password at first is your last name.
  3. Press the Login button. At the next screen, press Continue.
  4. At the next screen, enter a new password in the first box and again in the second box to confirm it.
  5. Press the Change Password button. At the next screen, press Continue.
  6. You will see the AUS electronic use policy. To accept, press the Accept button.
  7. The next screen indicates your activation is complete and that you can access your FirstClass account. Click Done.
  8. The final screen provides links to instructions so you can download and install the latest FirstClass Client software. This is the best way to access the system. You also can access FirstClass at the bottom of any page on this website.

    Important Reminder:  Don't forget to put the Antioch server name (fc.antiochseattle.edu) in the FirstClass software set-up screen or you will not be able to connect to Antioch.

  9. If you need to download and install the software later, return to http://www.antiochseattle.edu/client at any time to do so.
