Library | For Faculty
The library staff is very interested in collaborating with faculty in order to help teachers help students and also to support faculty in pursuing their own professional work.
All drop-in trainings are open to faculty. Instructors have a standing invitation for private or group tutorials - in their own offices or in the library. The library staff can assist with: research methods, new software, online searching, the use of library resources, etc.
Faculty input is essential to the development of the AUS collection. Faculty are encouraged to be in touch with librarians about their needs for electronic or print publications. The library staff will be glad to talk with faculty on ways to evaluate and access further information for curriculum development. The staff is also eager to help faculty look at the Internet as a means of publication, through podcasts, webpages and distance learning modules.
The library buys a limited number of textbooks each quarter. These are put on reserve for in-library use by students during that quarter. Please contact a librarian if you have a title you think should be bought for this purpose or for other items you think the library needs for its community collection.
