Costs & Financial Aid | Steps for Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid is as simple as completing these steps. If you have questions, contact the Financial Aid Office. The application process takes six to eight weeks.

If you are a continuing student, see the instructions at the bottom of this page.

Three Easy Steps For New Students

1. Apply for admission at the Admissions Office if you are a new student. Apply early to have your financial aid processed on time. Only students admitted to a degree or certificate program can receive financial aid.

2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on paper or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Read the instructions carefully. If you apply online, it's best to complete the form on paper first, then enter your data online. Online submissions shorten the application processing time by about two weeks.

If you mail the FAFSA, remember to send your signed form in the envelope provided. You will receive a student aid report (SAR) in the mail in four to six weeks.

Simply list Antioch's school code E00555 on the FAFSA and the university will receive your processed results electronically.

3. When you receive the SAR, check it for errors.

The SAR contains a section for corrections. If appropriate, note changes in this section. Be sure to sign it as required. Send the SAR to the Financial Aid Office or return it to the processor at the address indicated.

Instructions for Continuing Students

Please complete steps two and three. If you applied for financial aid last year, you may receive a renewal form for this year from the U.S. Department of Education. Please use this form in lieu of the FAFSA. Antioch will receive the processed information via computer data exchange, provided you indicate on the form that you want Antioch University Seattle to receive your information.
