What is coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative process between the coach and the client. This unique partnership amplifies and accelerates self-discovery while promoting clarity, creativity and choices for the client. Coaching assists people with achieving and often exceeding their desired goals quickly and efficiently.

What can I expect from the program?
The professional coach certification program offered in partnership with inviteCHANGE incorporates all of the elements to be a thriving service professional: transformative coaching skill training, personal growth and development and business leadership development.  The program consists of the following courses:

In addition, experiential fieldwork and a choice of electives will support and accelerate the integration of the coaching competency as you envision and build a profitable business and establish yourself as a coaching services professional. 

Upon graduation from this accredited program you will have completed all the requirements to apply for a credential with the International Coach Federation, the largest and leading global association of coaching professionals. 

How long will it take me to complete the program?

Typical completion time for the program ranges from 14-16 months.

Will I earn university credits for this program?
No--this is a professional development continuing education certificate program. You earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for each course. If you should ever need to document these CEUs, Antioch's Center for Continuing Education can provide you with a transcript. CEUs are not applicable toward degree programs.

Are there sources of financial assistance available?
Continuing education participants are not eligible for student loans.  However, there is a possibility of working with a lender such as Sallie Mae to to take a continuing education/professional development loan.   If you have questions or need assistance preparing to apply for such a loan, please contact Debra Alderman in the Center for Continuing Education: 206-268-4118.
