Mental Health for a Complex World

Welcome to Antioch University Seattle's School of Applied Psychology, Counseling and Family Therapy (The School). This is a place that draws individuals with a passion for making a difference in the world through their work in psychology.

The School offers strong innovative graduate training programs in psychology designed for students with a commitment to social justice within a culturally diverse community. Explore the many exciting training options that include: degree programs, certificate programs, the Clinic as well as opportunities for involvement in a variety of research studies and outreach projects.

The School has five academic degree programs, which are:

In addition to degree programs, the Center will launch a post-doctoral certificate in psychopharmacology in Fall 2008.

The School is home to the Antioch Community Counseling and Psychology Clinic. As a student in Center graduate programs, your first clinical experience occurs in the clinic under the supervision of the clinical faculty. The clinic not only serves as a training site for Center graduate students but also provides high quality accessible psychological services to the community both on campus and at satellite locations throughout the Puget Sound region.

Students in the School have the opportunity to be mentored by a remarkable group of faculty. Faculty members are actively engaged as practitioners, researchers, policy makers and advocates in a range of settings throughout Washington state as well as on the national scene. Working closely alongside your faculty mentor is a central component of your Antioch experience.

I encourage you to visit the Antioch campus, meet with an admissions adviser, sit in on a class, talk to students and faculty and begin to experience first hand what makes Antioch's psychology programs so dramatically different from those you find elsewhere.
