"We stand," says the Earth Charter, "at a critical moment in
Earth's history, a time when humanity must choose its future."
If you want to develop a society that respects nature and
people, then check out Antioch's master's degree in Environment and Community.

The M.A. in Environment and Community offers you an
opportunity to help build a truly sustainable and just society. Working together, students and faculty explore permaculture, community development, alternative agricultural and food
systems, healthy environments, renewable energy, environmental education, local economies, environmental justice, green building, deep ecology, environmental policy and many other topics.

By focusing on what you can do to nurture positive social and environmental change, you’ll become an effective leader for sustainability. By combining natural and social science perspectives, this degree enables you to "think globally and act locally."

Whether you are an environmental activist, a teacher, an urban planner, a consultant, a scientist or a business leader, an M.A. in Environment and Community helps you to understand environmental and social problems, and gives you the tools to design and implement creative solutions.

The M.A. in Environment and Community is one of the graduate degrees offered by the Center for Creative Change.

If you want to strengthen your skills to lead environmental and social change, but aren’t quite ready to commit to a degree, then consider a nine-month graduate certificate in ecological planning and design.
