Dominic Jimenez, B.A., Western Washington University; M.Ed., Antioch University Seattle. Dominic has been a teacher since 1998 with assignments at several elementary schools in California as well as in Japan. He is the Head of School at the Children's Institute for Learning Differences where he introduced the Collaborative Problem Solving Method, a program created by the Collaborative Problem Solving Institute, housed at the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Dominic specializes in developing programs to meet the challenges associated with high-risk children suffering from autism, Asperger syndrome and psychiatric disorders.

Elizabeth Carney, B.A., Gonzaga University; M. Ed., Antioch University Seattle.  Lizzy had the opportunity to teach special education students at the elementary, middle and high school levels in American schools.  She also spent a year in Indonesia developing an elementary special education program for the Jakarta International School.  She acted as a consultant, as well as worked with students in the general education classroom and resource room. After many years in special education, she was mainstreamed to teach middle school Language Arts and Social Studies.  Additionally, she has a passion for writing and children's literature.  Lizzy offers courses for teachers through the Heritage Institute.  Her classes assist teachers to use children's picture books to enhance instruction in writing and the content areas. Lizzy has the vision that learning is a lifelong expedition along winding roads which offer exploration and embrace detours.
