Collaborative Leaders
for a Changing World

Building on Antioch’s tradition of experiential education and socially engaged citizenship, the degree and certificate programs offered by the Center for Creative Change (C3) equip you to become a leader for organizational, social, and environmental sustainability, social justice and positive social transformation.

All Center programs are based on the understanding that creative change requires a fundamental shift in peoples’ values, awareness and behavior. Solutions to the complex social and environmental challenges of the 21st century require new ways of thinking that recognize the dynamic, interdependent nature of human and environmental systems and honor diverse perspectives, traditions and ways of knowing. As a student in C3, you will learn skills, attitudes and perspectives to be change leaders.

Choose from the Center's five interdisciplinary master's degree programs:

M.A. in Communication
M.A. in Environment and Community
M.S. in Management and Leadership
M.A. in Organizational Development
M.A. in Whole Systems Design

Building on a common core of shared courses, each program offers a rigorous curriculum leading to a degree that gives you new skills and perspectives on work and life. Students and faculty collaborate across traditional program boundaries in their research, coursework and community projects. At the Center for Creative Change, you earn a specialized degree and bring a broader, more insightful vision to your career.

How long does it take to complete a degree program?
If you enroll as a full-time student, you can finish your degree in 21 months. If you enroll part time, you have up to six years to complete your degree.

How much does it cost?
A master's degree is an investment in your future. Costs are competitive with equivalent degrees at other private universities. The Center's degree programs require 66 credits. The cost as of Spring 2012 is $620 per credit – $6,335 per quarter when you register as full-time student (ten credits tuition and fees).

Graduate certificates are shorter programs you can complete in nine months. These certificate programs provide seven key courses in various emphasis areas for those who want to lead effective change in organizations, businesses and communities.

Graduate Student Symposium
Each June and December, the Center for Creative Change hosts a symposium where students share their graduate research. For a look at the breadth of their community-focused change projects, download the December 2011 symposium PDF.

Global Issues and Perspectives
The Center presents a quarterly series of lectures on topics exploring the question, "What do we need to know to become more informed world citizens?" The series is an enriching opportunity to hear, learn from and be inspired by individuals — many of whom are from other cultures and countries — who are invited to Antioch to share their values and vision.
