Areas of Concentration

BA studentsYour passions, interests and career goals are an integral part of your degree process. You begin the B.A. completion program with a set of general questions about topics and disciplines that pique your curiosity.

Antioch's B.A. program developed seven structured areas of concentration — similar to majors — based on the most popular student choices. In addition to Arts & Literature, Global Studies, Human Services, Leadership & Organizational Studies, Psychology, Social Justice Studies and Spiritual Studies, you also can create your own program to stretch your career in a new direction or fuel your enthusiasm for a specialized academic focus. Click on the areas of concentration at left to explore your options.

You are invited to attend an open house on campus —
6 p.m. Wed., Oct. 15.

Areas of concentration require a minimum of 45 credits, although students often earn more than the minimum in their specialization. If you choose to add a second area of concentration, only 35 credits are required for this additional area.

You may switch your area of concentration at any time with your adviser's approval, provided it is still possible to fulfill the degree requirements of the newly selected focus.
